On December 31st, 2012, the statewide subscription to GED Online preparation tool is set to expire. Since the tool was launched in January, over 500 people have signed up and logged over 1,000 hours of training. There are still a number of seats available for anyone interested.

The New Jersey State Library will be giving hands-on demonstrations of the NJWorks@yourlibrary resources available to job seekers at the Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) job fair, hosted by the American Legion and U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in Ocean City, NJ.
What is The Big Picture on Employment & Education? What part of the myths of the Bachelor’s Degree is true? Eliyahu Lotzar will be discussing these topics as well as 4-year degrees, 2-year degrees, certifications and income, the ten most important criteria for getting hired, and the twelve criteria for keeping your job.

Through a partnership between the Construction Industry Advancement Program of New Jersey (CIAP) and Irvington Public Library, a Construction Industry Apprenticeship Program is being brought to NJ residents. The mission of the Apprenticeship Program is to recruit minorities into the trades industries and prepare people in the age range of 18-30 for the expectations of the construction industry. People of all age ranges are welcome to attend.
